Roberta Schilling has been a well-known Miami presence in the luxury furniture and antique collectibles market. Originally from Minas Gerais state, Brazil, Schilling first arrived in Florida as a student. Having learned from her mother who owned an antique shop in Minas Gerais, Schilling established Roberta Schilling in 1995. She has since expanded her brand to include collections of decorative glassware, luxury accessories, and natural-fiber textiles. Schilling is also an established resource for collectors of colonial period Brazilian antiques.
Roberta Schilling Furniture
The success of her furniture collection led to new collaborations with Brazilian designers and artisans around the country. Schilling’s impeccable eye and personal style guide her designs; whether it’s combining Brazilian traditional wood-work techniques with unusual findings and fixtures or the mix and match handmade textiles. Most RS materials, textiles, and woods are sourced directly from Latin America. Her modern furniture collections add to Schilling’s reputation as an expert in colonial Brazilian collectibles, which has created a loyal following for the Miami-based designer and businesswoman.
